The wealth report covers my progress in my four life projects. Completion of these projects will enable me to become wealthy in my definition. Below, I summarize some of the key takeaways from the last four weeks. In the next section, I briefly discuss the task dimensions of nature and class. If you are already familiar with my task organization, please feel free to skip directly to the retrospective.

Synopsis on Nature

Manage Wealth — This project’s purpose is to manage the overall progress of the four main projects. Tasks in this project relate to daily affirmations and compiling completion data for the other projects. The target velocity for this project is between 40–50 tasks per month.

Forge Dream Body — This project’s purpose is to acquire the physical fitness and health that I have desired for many years. Tasks in this project relate to diet, exercise, meal preparation, and the acquisition of tools that help with the formerly listed areas. The target velocity for this project is between 35–40 tasks per month.

Discover Mental Fortitude — The purpose of this project is to allow me to reach a coveted stage of enlightenment. Tasks in this project facilitate my intellectual, spiritual, and emotional development through various forms of learning material and self-reflection exercises. The target velocity for this project is between 25–35 tasks per month.

Optimize Sphere of Influence — The purpose of this project is to change my environment positively. The sphere of influence includes relationships with family, friends, and community, as well as introducing catalysts for success while removing obstacles. The target velocity for this project is between 35–40 tasks per month.

Achieve Financial Freedom — This project aims to create the financial conditions necessary to sustain my desired lifestyle without having to compete in the rat race perpetually. The freedom will allow me to pursue opportunities more closely related to my passions full-time. The target velocity for this project is between 20–25 tasks per month.

Synopsis on Class

Errand — These tasks keep fundamental parts of life flowing in the right direction. When life’s responsibilities are under control, the opportunity to expand your horizons is born. The target velocity for this class is between 55–70 tasks per month.

Growth- These tasks deal with the improvement of existing skills or the acquisition of new skills. This class focuses on hard improvements (learning to invest, cooking healthy meals, or expanding my vocabulary) as well as soft improvements (learning self-control, developing confidence). The essence of growth tasks is preparation. The target velocity for this class is between 45–50 tasks per month.

Pursuit — These tasks deal with chasing current dreams or desires. The act of physically dedicating energy towards the aspirations that are so important, regardless of whether you feel that you’re ready, is crucial. Start today and adjust course along the way. The essence of pursuit tasks is execution. The target velocity for this class is between 55–70 tasks per month.

Milestone- These tasks exist to keep track of achievement across all projects. It is imperative to acknowledge how far you’ve traveled, even if your destination is not within reach. This class does not have a target velocity.

April balance sheet from Microsoft Excel

The conclusion of April is exciting because it marks over two full months using this system. Often, the most significant improvements are due to consistently performed, immeasurable actions. In real life, it isn’t easy to see growth, but I believe in the process. I know that the results I desire will be outwardly visible soon enough.

April has been a month with a lot of successes. Beyond financial gains, I’ve been able to keep up with my exercises, and I’m nearly finished with a book I started last month. The source of the cash infusion was a combination of tax returns related to my unprofitable startup, monthly savings, and the IRS stimulus check. It’s unproductive to sit on large cash reserves, so I plan on investing most of it in May. In general, any increases are welcome, but the goal this year is to increase my monthly net cash flow. Any cash flow ideas I implement, I’ll share them here. The goal is for our effort not merely to line the pockets of our creditors but to create sustainable wealth.

Milestone Completed: Achieve Financial Freedom — The Zero-Sum Game: Reach Net Worth $0 (4/9)

Milestone Completed: Achieve Financial Freedom: Thousandaire: Reach Net Worth $1000 (4/9)

Milestone Completed: Achieve Financial Freedom — Starter Assets: $30,000 in Assets (4/8)

Milestone Completed: Manage Wealth — Completion Novice: 100 Tasks Completed (4/1)

Milestone Completed: Manage Wealth — Karma III: Reach Karma Level Professional — Karma level is ToDoList’s internal point keeping scheme. You earn points by completing tasks, creating tasks, and using advanced features. Professional is the 4th level in the hierarchy. (4/3)
